Our First Farm Day

Our First Farm Day
Our First Farm Day

Welcome to the Farm!

Today we had over 75 people from all over New England come to visit and learn about Willow Brook Farm’s endeavors. People sampled all of our goat products from yogurt to cheese. Everyone seemed to really enjoy the strawberry yogurt the best!

We let everyone flow naturally around the farm, checking out the goats,  then moving toward the garden and the pigs. At one time we had 8 kids in the goats’ paddock, petting and playing with them!

Folks enjoyed seeing the 1800’s barn and the original farmhouse still standing and looking better than ever. Some people even toured the first floor to find amazing wood countertops and 2 wood stoves. As they left the house they saw our squash & watermelon patch which had sprawled over the entire garden.

Needless to say there were huge smiles on everybody’s faces and when they heard that Willow Brook Farm was a non-profit — they stood there awestruck when learning that it provided everything for us.

We filled 3 pages full of contacts that were near and far, but all priceless. We met one couple that were in town homesteading on 30 acres with a huge garden. We met a different couple that have lived in chichester for 20 years and have all of the connections to organizations and people that support farms like ours. We felt so blessed by the end of the day that people really were moved by our operation here. Thank you to everyone that came out and showed interest and support!
