As a conservation minded environmentalist, a keen gardener, and a naturalist, Christopher Bridge has many interests which match the vision of Willow Brook Farm He has contributed considerable time over the years to Third Stone Farm as chief mechanic, tree planter, tree netter during selling season, and general farm hack. Chris makes his home in the white mountains of NH.
Chris has 15 years of experience in developing power electronic integrated circuits. He has worked as a system architect and applications engineer on both DC/DC and AC/DC controller products. Chris joined SIMPLIS Technologies three years ago, where based on his experience as a SIMPLIS user he enhanced the capabilities of the Design Verification Module (DVM), created the new SystemDesigner digital control blocks, and improved our user interface and documentation. He has a B.S.E.E. from Virginia Tech and holds seven US Patents on control techniques for both DC/DC and AC/DC converters.
As an engineer who once sailed around the world on his own, Chris is an unstoppable problem solver who has been known to engineer new tools to solve construction and other challenges. Chris will advise the Beginning Farmer Fellows on how to approach problem solving with the relentless creativity they will need to succeed at sustainable farming in the near and long term.
