Wow! Suddenly, as if we’ve been transported in time, we are already at the beginning of July!
Summer really is in full bloom now, all of creation seems to be delighting in it’s beauty. It’s a bit nerve wracking watching time go by so fast when you know there are so many chores to get done before the winter puts us all to sleep. The summer season is so important for those of us who rely on it for our winter needs. We have been doing our best to keep prioritizing chores to be most effective with the precious time that we have here. Since we arrived here in March, our transition has been a lot slower than we imagined and we have a lot more chores than we foresaw. For example, in the beginning of the season we were concentrating on felling trees for lumber so we could build proper animal housing for our beloved animals. And, oh boy, that is a chore for the winter. I couldn’t believe how much time it took to get a tree on the saw mill. We’re also now are still felling trees for our winter supply of firewood. It is nice to be in the woods on these extremely hot days though!
